Hello everyone! There have been a number of concerns on the forum that you all feel strongly about. We wanted to make sure we took the time to address them. So if you will please view the list below, we do our best to explain what will be happening with each of these issues. Thank you for all of your comments; we greatly appreciate the passion each of you have for this community. We will continue to strive to improve where we can and make Narcos: Cartel Wars the best it can be for as many people as possible.

If you have any other feedback or suggestions, absolutely feel free to post below.

Concerns & Suggestions

  1. Saving Troops and/or Sicario Combinations
    1. ✔ We have added Sicario Sorting/Management (Stickers).
    2. We will look into adding a sorting functionality that includes Sicarios and troops together.
    3. Please continue to give us your feedback on how to improve, and we will continue to adjust to the best of our ability.
  2. Weekly Tournament Rankings
    1. ✔ We made changes to ratings to help sort out higher level players from lower level ones, based on community feedback.
      1. It will take a few weeks for this new system to sort players out better.
    2. ✔ We changed the rating to be a fresh score each week to make it fairer for everyone, based on community feedback.
    3. Many have requested that the tournament system be overhauled so that it is not tied to the player, and that each player can only be in one weekly league. This is a big switch we are still considering, but it is not currently in the works.
  3. Better interface for pending revenge attacks
    1. We’d like to confirm whether this is an issue for everyone, or mostly just hyper-active players.
    2. Either way, we do agree that this could be improved. How would we feel about something like the following:
      1. New Revenge notices: Highlighted.
      2. Revenge notices that have been seen: Unhighlighted.
      3. Revenge notices that have been acted upon (Revenge has been taken): A checkmark next to the notice.
  4. Donations to Cartels unified reset time & increased donation levels and capacity
    1. We would like to receive more feedback on this, and see where we can best improve. So please comment below.
  5. UI adjustments for replays of compound attacks
    1. We are aware of this issue (certain UI elements overlay others and make the replay confusing to view) and are working on it. If we could please get screenshots pointing out the troubles with this UI, it will help us improve it.
  6. UI corrections for zooming in on outpost bases
    1. We are aware of this issue and agree that it is a major problem. We will work towards getting this fixed as soon as possible.
  7. Attack reward amounts
    1. There are additional tweaks to be made here, and we are always open to your feedback, including screenshots and videos from in-game.
  8. Allow instant guerilla building constructions occasionally
    1. We are glad to hear that the community enjoyed this option/event and we will be bringing it back in the future.
  9. Cartel Chat fixes
    1. We see that our chat can be improved for hyper-active Cartels and players (separate tab/channel for system notifications versus general chat, extend the view history past 30 lines), and we will make sure to bring this to the appropriate people.
    2. We also would like to look into the option to pin certain messages to chats so that they can be viewed at any time.
    3. We recognize that access to Chats from the Attack Map would be equally useful.
  10. Addition of a private chat in Wars (Cartel leaders can write strategies for attacks)
    1. This is a good idea, and worth some time to consider down the road.
    2. Please note that Cartel Chat is still available and useable during Wars.
  11. Cartel Menu (Display online/offline status of members)
    1. This is a great point/idea and we will look into this.
  12. Donation sliders (currently have to do the math for how much to donate rather than auto-set)
    1. We agree that this is a fantastic idea for improving the quality of life in the game and are going to look into getting it changed.
  13. Selling item UI change
    1. Agreed that this could be set up better.
    2. We’d like your feedback on the possibility of switching the current initial “sell” amount from all to none (ex. 0/100 vs 100/100). That way players can choose up to whatever number of an item they’d like to sell rather than having to count down. How do we feel about this?
  14. Attack map (allow heal/refills of Squads and Sicarios)
    1. We agree, we have the option to refill/heal Squads and Sicarios in the Base, so the option should exist on the Attack Map as well. This is something that we will definitely be looking into.
  15. ✔ Enemy AI
    1. The “find another” option on the Attack Map was added thanks to player feedback. Once every 24 hours you can choose that option on any player Base, AI outpost, or Resource Center.
      1. “Find Another” on a player Base or AI outpost has the chance to generate one of either.
      2. “Find Another” on a Resource Center will always generate another Resource Center.
      3. All outposts and resource centers share an experience pool, when “find another” is used this overall experience pool is lessened. A new outpost/resource center is created based on the average experience pool’s levels.
    2. To enjoy the most balanced gameplay you’ll want to attack player Bases and AI outposts fairly evenly, this way they will scale in difficulty with you at the same time.
      1. Attacking only one or the other will lead to much higher Medal counts on one (For example, Bert has attacked mostly player Bases, so his Attack Map is full of high Medal count player Bases, but very weak outposts. When Bert attacks more outposts, he should find those difficulties raise over time.)
  16. Offer Wall concerns
    1. We are constantly working with our partners to try to improve the Offer Wall experience.
    2. It is important for the community to know that we do take every single one of your reports about issues with the Offerwall to the Offerwall company and present your cases to them personally.
  17. Move the "vulnerable to attack" message
    1. Absolutely agree that this does need to be changed, and we will look into doing so.
  18. Sicario Challenges
    1. Would players prefer to have Sicario Challenges that last longer, or have a shorter amount of downtime between them to prevent them from feeling restrictive?
  19. New strategies and counter-strategies
    1. We are always working to improve the game and add fun new content and features, and sometimes we don't tune them just right. We are doing our best to learn and improve in this area.
  20. Daily rewards past current limit
    1. We are currently developing the feature that will extend daily rewards past the currently available 300 days.
  21. Using Plata to update Sicarios
    1. We agree that this is a needed quality of life improvement for active, high level, and long-time players.
  22. Friendly attacks on Cartel players and compounds
    1. This is a fantastic idea, and we would like to look into it in the future.
  23. Donation history: more details (who donates, how often, how much)
    1. This is a great idea, and we will keep it on our future feature list.
  24. Sicario Portrait adjustments
    1. There is already plenty of information available for the Sicarios, but we agree that it could be explained better for new players.
  25. Adjustments to War Record
    1. It would really help to have different views available for War Record, such as a Cartel's performance in the last 10 Wars, last 3 months/6 months, or all-time.
  26. Adjustments to Cartel Wars scouting mechanic
    1. It would really help to be able to skip multiple menus and simply go through various Bases while in scouting mode during the first day of Cartel Wars (see Tampico Sunrise - Shark's comment below for more detail)
  27. Ability to store buildings that are no longer needed
  28. Add ability to opt out players from Bounty Hunts just like Cartel Wars
  29. Flagging system for the Map that allows players to mark Bases they'd like to attack so that they can easily find them later
  30. A system that lists resources needed for buildings to allow for better Compound planning
  31. Add a gift system that allows players to gift their friends resources, Gold, or other items/currency
  32. Explore methods of combatting emulator players (Please share your ideas if you have them below)
Thank you again for taking the time to read through this. We hope this answers some of the currently pressing Narcos: Cartel Wars community concerns.

As a note, we are considering the above list a “living document.” We’d like to keep it as updated as possible into the future. Check back here as often as you’d like to see what has changed. We will make notes on things that have been changed in-game, as well as issues that have been added to the list based on community concerns.

10. Private chat in wars. I like this idea a lot, not sure everyone would though. Someone had a great idea that’s related, to have a bulletin board (larger text field) so cartels can share a “war plan” for everyone. It could be a text field that appears when a war is started, and resets or vanishes when the war ends. Many cartels war constantly and war plan messages get buried in the cartel chat. Private chat would be good, but I think the bulletin board solves the problem better. Or it could be like a “sticky” message in the cartel chat.

Point 4 -

The tab shown in the enclosed pic is accessible from cartel compound page, Donation limits menu.

Change this tab and make it today's donations incl cash, wood, stone, iron breakup. The overall donations number shown in the pic is also not necessary. We can already track the total donations per month in the cartel icon menu, Donations interface.

FTX already has a daily reset time in the game (1130 PM IST). It's used to give daily rewards, 6 free chests and start daily mission activities

Use the same timer to reset Donations of all players in the game. This will increase donations in the cartel as anyone can login once in the day as per their comfort and donate resources. Also the coordinators can check the numbers and find out who hasn't donated easily.

It would be helpful if this is executed asap.

For donation level, either keep the limits as it and just increase the overall level to 31 and so on. Or increase limits and as well as overall donation level as per your estimates.

Point 5 - There are so many videos in YouTube. Please check them. We can't see replays properly. It's difficult for players to learn how to attack If they can't see which sicarios were there in the compound during attack and where helipad abilities were used in the layout.

Point 13 - Just allow us to enter a specific number. That will be more than enough. If you keep it at zero, then we again need to press the button and keep increasing it.

Good improvement I have to say, but it only solved part of the convenience issue. Players want to be able to save squads presets (with their assigned skill set)


Better interface for pending revenge attacks

If the revenges are not in a separate list or at least can be filtered from the other useless notifications (like when an outpost appears in the map), the highlights are going to be pointless.
The most annoying thing about the current revenge list is simply: Scrolling down.. Clicking revenge...! Error player is online!... Go back to scrolling again (the more the revenges are there, the more painful it is)
So the best solution is to highlight the ONLINE status of the player as well + make revenge list separate.

This has been clearly addressed HERE.
Chase wrote on October 2018 that there's a hotfix. (I guess it's too hot to handle for implementation.)

The majority of the mentioned issues have been present(or suggested) since a long time(+6 months to years). So it would be helpful to know the meaning of "the future". An approximate time frame for each issue that will be looked at shows some seriousness.

the tournament system MUST FIX NOW.
my friend is in my sicario challenge league but i am not in his league.and thats not the first time .
Thats unfair and only a way to make people buy more plata or gold. everybody knows that.
So tell me why its not implement yet?? whats the reason?? only 10 players in league ,so its possible that every player will be only in one league.Its easy for you to do !!!
You stole players a chance to win a good statue.
you make players angry and frustrating.
and those players will give you no money.

Those are very good suggestions regarding the Cartel donations, thank you for listing those out. We will always do our best to implement improvements as quickly as possible.

As for point 5, thank you for letting me know. As we said in our post, we agree that this is an issue that needs to be sorted. Those videos will make excellent references for us.

Point 13: Thank you for your feedback! That's a very fair point regarding the need to hold the button again.

Hello Thamer, we are aware of the community suggestion to sort Sicarios and Squads further (in player saved presets) and are keeping that in mind.

Thank you for letting us know more detail about what you would like to see regarding the Revenge list! That is very helpful information. So sorting via online status as well as the status of the revenge notice (unseen, seen, revenge taken) would be most useful, right?

My apologies that there are no solid timeframes listed on these issues. As we all know, game development is complex, and it is very difficult to say exactly when something might happen. But we do take the improvements to the game seriously.

Thank you for pointing this out Goose. The list previously listed concerns to improve Chats in various ways, but that one slipped through the net somehow. I will add it now :)

Ben, April: If you want to add this to the list, “redundancy scouting enemy bases during day 1 of cartel wars” seems like a good summary.

In cartel wars it’s important to scout enemy player bases in order to choose how to best use each team member’s 3 attacks. Currently the process is very tedious.

During day 1 of war the process is:

Start by viewing war map
Tap “top damage dealers” -> wait for it to load -> tap “enemy cartel” -> wait for it to load -> tap the player’s base you want to scout -> tap “view” -> wait for it to load

Then, when you want to scout the next base the process starts all over again!

It would be really nice if when we are scouting a base, there were arrows on the screen to switch directly to the next or previous base in the list.

During day 2 of war the process is easier because all enemy bases appear on the “home screen” (war map). And after scouting a base you return to the home screen.

Some different ideas to solve the day 1 redundancy:
-add arrows when scouting a base in “top damage dealers” to view the next or previous base.
-after defeating outposts on day 1 war map, make the war map display as it does on day two of war: all enemy bases on war map. We don’t need to see those defeated outposts for any reason. I like this option best.
-when scouting an enemy cartel directly (not through top damage dealers area) highlight the players who are in the current war. (Seeing that a player is opted into cartel wars doesn’t mean they are included in the current war)

These ideas are utilizing features that already exist. The last idea is to ignore what’s available and add a brand new tool you design, specifically for scouting bases during war.

How is the weekly tournament fairer when i take 2 medals for each win and the other participants take 5 medals for each win???????????????????
The tournament will become fair when you create a league with equal players at the same level i.e.like raid events or challenges that everybody have the same level
I cant competite opponents 15 levels higher than me due to the new medal calculation.
I am losing gold because my ranking at the end of the tournament is not at the top five due to unfair matchmaking
What are you planning to do for that issue?

And the movie night rewards has been changed
You decreased the gold reward
How i am supposed to find gold in order to continue my upgrades

we fight and play to beat other players in our league, overtake or take away a good statue;)
But this is pointless if some opponents do not really play in the same league.
this is done by ftx extra to make people burn plata and pull the money out of the player's pocket.

What about the possibility to destroy or sell buildings like product storage, lab, etc ?

I don't need or use them, they take up a lot of free space and it's "free"/extra energy for attackers.
Right now the only way is to start all over again but then all time, money and gold invested is gone.
Having such an option to delete them like we have on the guerrilla buildings for example would be very nice and helpfull.

Point proven @zecke2 ftx has set this sicario challenge up in a way that only they win. Ive seen so many flaws and scams in these challenges that the fbi should be investigating ftx for robbing us all and fraud

On another note, how about some kind of flagging system on the map? Eg. I have often browsed the player bases and wanted to flag those I think I have a chance but currently awaiting camps to refill or they are online, or flag those I want to switch ASAP. Any thoughts?

Demolishing unused buildings. Please make it so we can demolish buildings at base. (Product storage, labs, etc.) Giving us the chance to arrange base however we see fit. Without having to just start all over with a new account.

Better system for cartel war matchup. A cartel with a 15k rating and level 30 compound should not have to war against a 40k rating and level 45 compound. There has to be a way to make better matchup.

I concur. Most app games have that option to destroy or change a building. The option is earned or in some pack usually.

The changes to the weekly tournament were made based on player feedback. It is taking some time for this change to show it's full potential, please be patient. We do know that there has consistently been a request for a tournament overhaul, and as you can see, that is on our list, and we have brought it to the developer's attention. I understand that is one of the community's largest concerns at the moment and we're making sure the right parties know this. Any potential major changes to a game do take time. But please keep sharing any suggestions you have for how to better tournaments, I will gladly add them to our knowledge base!

The reason some players are displaying with higher statues than their place in the rankings is because the leagues are all tied to each specific player. So while someone might show they are in second place in your league (which would mean they should have a silver statue), they could be in first place in their own league (which means their base has a gold statue).

We know this is confusing and you all would love to see a complete overhaul of the tournament system. This is one of our points on the list above and we will continue to fight for it.

This is a really interesting suggestion, thank you Narco! Does anyone else agree that this would be helpful?
