Opt Out, Does it Impact Current War

I'm wondering, if one were to opt out of a war during the scouting stage, can they still finish scouting, build strike orders, fight and collect rewards in the current war? Or would it only impact the next war?

Once the war has started, even in the scouting stage, you can no longer opt out of the war. You're in the war.

Yes. They finish the war.

Since the latest update, you can now opt out of wars during the current war. It'll take effect for the next war though.
