When I search for the Android and IOS ratings for this game, I get the following:

Android (teen rating): Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.

IOS (12+ rating): Applications in this category may also contain infrequent mild language, frequent or intense cartoon, fantasy or realistic violence, and mild or infrequent mature or suggestive themes, and simulated gambling which may not be suitable for children under the age of 12.

I fail to see where the issue lies. It is laid out pretty clearly, isn't it?

If the issue is actually the fact that these ratings shouldn't include simulated gambling, you may want to submit a complaint to Google and Apple.

It should be noted that I'm Canadian, so I may not be seeing exactly what you are seeing.

The first person with a normal answer.
And who knows what he is talking about.
I didt check the ratings from the game yet.
But in my country gambling is illegal for people under the 18

I was tired of watching this thread go around in circles;) You raise a valid point about gambling being illegal for people under 18. This may be the difference between real $$ gambling and whatever they define 'simulated gambling' to be. Apparently 'simulated gambling' is okay for teenagers, according to these ratings.

I just did a Google search for simulated gambling and there are some interesting articles on the subject and how teenagers who are allowed to simulate gambling are more likely to become real $$ gamblers later in life.

Its just a matter of time then before simulated gambling will be illegal too for 13year olds then

Marv, when it comes to playing talent & sicario chest roulette, it absolutely is gambling...

And the majority of the high level guys on this post saying that it isnt, are in denial.

Im guilty of playing talent roulette, and its no different than the times Ive spent in a casino playing craps. This game is 100% about tapping into players most susceptible to gambling tendencies.

It is virtual gambling, as lobsterboy clearly explained.

Whether or not it is moral to allow 13y old kids to play this game is a different topic, but playing the talent roulette isn't the same as inserting real money into a slot machine.

When it comes to aqquiring sicario chests or talents, it absolutely is gambling.

You may not be gambling to win anything of monetary value. But you are putting down real money to gain from chance, something that you consider valuable.

Dont kid yourself, this game makes most of its money off of impulse purchases. Everything they do with each new update, is to try and get more money out of their impulse players, and turn their casual spenders into impulse spenders.

In substance I agree with you. FTX has never tried to hide that it is a business, therefore aiming at maximizing profits. But from a strict lexical point of view I think it should be called virtual or simulated gambling, as it is not exactly the same as direct, real-money gambling. Holding coins and bank notes in one's hand is an altogether distinct action. Replacing real money by fake money or tokens is something clever that casinos have done long ago before mobile devices games came in.

Omg! I cannot believe this thread! How can this be gambling? What money can you win or real material stuff? The game has a warning that there are ingame purchases. Isn't it a gambling that you buy expensive coffee and when you are in a rush for work in the morning and you have no time for WC... that you will ruin your day? You might lose even material stuff by missing an opportunity hence the urge. Come on!

But it is still gambling and the topic is about gambling being allowed for pg13 thats what the topic is about.
And the answer is when you call it virtual gambling that it is allowed for 13year olds. And that it a matter of time is before it will be illegal too

I am a regular player, FTX never gave me anything more than what I paid for. But unlike many who spend a lot of time and energy on complaining and requesting more for less money, I am realistic about what we have a chance to get and what we will never have. So I just try to position myself into FTX's shoes and ask myself what I could do to make the game better for the majority of the players.

I enjoy this game and that is the only reason why I am here. Most of the people here came because they enjoyed the game in the first place, and nobody will benefit from constantly accusing FTX of robbing our money. Those who don't like what FTX does to them should stop playing their games and stop wasting their time on this forum. It just makes no sense at all posting repeated requests for cheaper stuff and hateful allegation constantly.

I liked the game too. I was only wondering why this game is pg13. Cause in my opinion it shouldnt be.
And i only want the game back how it was before they updated it in more to pay for play.
I understand they are a company and that they have to make money. But its becoming a only pay to play game.

Commenting here to acknowledge the thread - but no specific response is warranted except to say we are offering these gameplay mechanics the correct way.

Hi Chase,
I'm just letting you know I am not the enemy.
I love this game and can't fathom why like other games it proceeds to go downhill rather than up.

You cannot deny you've lost people in the last few updates.

I am commenting to ask why no specific response is warranted to this users question?

You quite clearly posted that thread warning people about behavior seeing as this game is PG 13 in most countries.

I'm here to ask you to ask the team just how does that work?

This game is based on drug smuggling and destroying people and their drug operations to take it for yourselves.
While there was argument as to whether the luck system is gambling or not your answer is right there. Luck.
Luck is a gamble. You win some, lose more.
Directly related to this is how does a PG 13 game base it's shop mechanics on rich people?
Yes there are crappy $2-$7 deals that a child may be able to purchase that won't get anyone anywhere.
You charge $150 for anything half decent $220 with our currency conversion.
Not to mention to progress in the game you must keep up with the spenders or be cannon fodder.
How many 13 year olds spend that kind of money?

Please review.
