Came across a player base with very few utility buildings and no iron mine or stone mill either, any ideas how he has managed to get up to level 22 finca? 7 million everything if I remember correctly for that which you can't store with just one storage building, pretty good base design though I can't get any energy points from it!

It's what a lot of people are doing with their second accounts, he could possibly be someone who had spent money in the game then cheated with the gold cheat. And ftx restarted his game and gave him all the gold he had brought legitimately or he could of just spent a lot of money on the game to get upgrades done. But yeah it's definitely the way people are doing their second accounts. It's smart though like u said u don't get much of a chance to build up energy

When you stop considering XP gain as a good thing and consider it as an expense this is what happens. You build your base to have the maximum defense with minimum cost of xp gain from superfluous buildings.

It does two things: You do not level up so opponents are not as harsh, and as a secondary effect you don’t give up as much energy when defending.

Some games call this type of advanced strategy a “trap account.” Really an expamle of minimalism and requires a lot of skill to get it right.

You’d be surprised how little gold you actually have to spend. To really understand this you have to look at the numbers. Take something like the Iron mine or the Bank, and look at your total production in an account that is high level. The mine/bank provide very little compared to the resource centers you control. You can easily get by without them. Same goes for storage - a single upgraded storage building provides enough to get through most levels, having five product storages is really unnecessary but an easy mistake to make.

The point for the game vendor is a double edged sword. They end up with advanced players spending gold on second accounts, but those same players also throw the game balance off a little bit. A new deal comes out for $99 for X skill. These players buy it in _both_ accounts. It’s hard for the vendor to say no. To be clear Narcos is actually really well balanced in this respect. While a second account does have an advantage, its not as wide as some other games. Personally I really appreciate how well thought out Narcos is - even over a year into it, and more than one account into it, I still find it very well structured and thought through.
