black screen

Had a game started. Now every time I try to open that game, all I get is a black screen that doesn't go away. I can force quit and start a new game, but how do I know it won't get stuck at the same spot?

Playing on a M1 Mac Mini through Apple Arcade.

This should be fixed! Please update your game to the newest version

I am experiencing the same problem on ios, even after deleting and reinstalling. Is there any way to fix this or is this game unplayable indefinitely?
