This is the 4th time this year that fake bot accounts have appeared as the only opponents a player can fight for everyone who passes a specific medal threshold... in this case 256,700 medals.
For anyone above that threshold the game is unplayable in PVP and Alliance mode. You are forced to fight 5 medal matches against bots with names taken from the character roster in the game like "Borg Medical Drone" or "Cardassian Scientist" or "Locutus of Borg" as a team name... and the teams are not real teams of other players, but seem like test teams that somehow got left in the game.
It is the #1 issue that is complained about most on the community discord... and many players have left the game because of this. Most have not come back, the few like myself that have will not stay with the game if this continues for very long.
