_Basics of Narcos Cartel Wars_

*Attack Buildings*

*Strategy 1* - Change your upgrade priority to Attack > Storage > Major Defense buildings

This means that
- 1st - Attack buildings should be at the same level of finca First
- 2nd - Upgrade and maintain the‎ units of a particular storage unit type at the same levels
-‎ 3rd - Upgrade Major Defensive units (Rockets,P Canons)
-‎ 4th - Upgrade Remaining Defensive units.

-Doing Step 2 before steps 3 and 4; will help in taking spontaneous decisions on TC upgrades and major defensive unit upgrades.

_This should be done as soon as the finca level requirements are reached._

*Strategy 2* - Balance Attack = Storage = Defense.

This means that you'll be upgrading all units without getting an edge in either attacks or defense or storage.

Here you'll take time in upgrading attacking units. It may still be tough to complete raid events and you may loose dice, New sicarios contracts, roulette rewards. You may also loose good rewards from war victories

*Strategy 3* - Focus only on Attack buildings and stop increasing your level to build Sicarios.

*Strategy 3 = Strategy 1 without step 3 and 4*

Here the downside is that your base will be attractive to players below 3 levels of yours as well. Which is bad as you'll loose resources gained . So balancing defenses is crucial to stay competitive.

*Strategy 4* - Keep increasing your level without following any strategy.

Use it and see for yourself.

Whenever you reach the finca level requirement, before leveling up further, the *following priority is must*

This sequence should be followed whenever a new finca unlocks.

_Remember you can avoid installing new defenses and upgrading existing defenses_

Note- Bunker is considered in attacks as with offense first and offense only, you will attract revenges as well. you can attempt large construction upgrade with the best possible bunker level without taking shields as well.

*SUGGESTIONS*


*#Levelling up*


- Follow priorities carefully

- Take suggestions before upgrading sicarios. Wait for the best helipad ability booster sicarios. If you have doubts about sicarios ask in the group

- Use XP from TC upgrades for levelling up
- Level up slowly only after reaching max attack buildings (except squads)
- Have sufficient storages in your base. *Use cartel port to avoid xp gains from storage buildings*
- Unlock all possible areas on the map
- Unlock 5 + 2 special bases.
- Prefer Big bang skill raids.


*#Defenses*


- Have lowest priority on defenses _(do it only when you can't get xp from attack buildings and TC upgrades)_

- Use sicario boosts and talents to handle buildings. (Building health and damage Preferred)

*Note:* _You will attract a lot of revenge attacks as your base is weak. So defense sicarios with building health/damages are very important for strategy 3 to work well. Don't upgrade any other sicarios_


*#War and Chest*


- It will be very difficult to get 9 successful attacks and 3 cartel war victories in a week, as I completely depends on war opponents.

- Rewards from chest will be far greater than what you get from the above mentioned war performance

- So if you're below 34, Focus on chests - *Get sicarios and gold as well from chest 9,10,11*


*Important*: _Before reaching 26/27 and 28...calculate xp gains beforehand (from the fandom website/screenshots shared) and level up accordingly._

*Tips to score more points in chests*

Atleast 25 points

1. Save *easy player bases* on your map for the weekend.

Don't attack them in the beginning of the week and don't convert them into outposts. (You can easily have 5-10 of them by weekend if you do this)

2. Share as many *Resource centers* as possible in your map

Share all the low output RCs on your map

Even you if get one or two successfully..you'll make a lot of points.


*3. Points through special bases*

(you can easily get 5 points from those 4-7 bases in 3 days) use find other option immediately after 24 hrs if you can't clear any base. They will get regenerated in 3-6 hrs if you clear them.

Note - *Even if you're on a shield You can attack these bases* Shield won't break. And you'll get 1 chest point for each win.


*4. Wars in weekend*

Use your 6 attacks carefully during the chest duration. Don't attack early if you are free.

(You can get atleast 5 points from this)

*5. Saving revenges*

Don't take revenges during weekdays. Attack them only during weekends.

*Note* Only the past 4 days of player attacks will be visible in your log. So take revenges immediately on Friday-Monday.

*Save revenges from Tuesday- Friday* for chest

*6. Keep Finca ahead*

This will make the players attack you. And you can take revenge in the weekend. Try this on Sunday's. When we Have to score max points.

- *However your rating can drop and this can impact your league ranking. So be careful*

*Strategies for Defense*

_Information of Damage per sec is shown by default in all bases. However, the Actual damage per shot depends upon their recharge times and no of shots per burst_


*#BASIC THINGS TO KNOW*

- You don't have to install new defence buildings, whenever they unlock. *You can postpone them*

- *Defense mainly depends upon sicario combos and their talents.* Else no base layout is strong enough to make people ignore your base or get successful defenses (unless the opponent has very weak attack strength)

- Never put any building adjacent to finca. A missile hit to that building+finca will reduce the health of finca as well. More importantly, it will be the easiest way to gain energy for no deployers.

- Never put any two or more defenses adjacent to each other. A missile hit at the common edge to such buildings will destroy multiple buildings in one go.

- Defense is the last priority while leveling up to level 27,37,47 zone strategies.


*#BASIC THINGS TO DO*

_Core Strategy of defense...if you can't make it tough....at least don't make it easy_

*Route to Finca* Make the path to reach finca tough...Make the opponent reach the finca with more no of casualties.

*Strong Sicario Boosts* If you aren't upgrading defenses, strong healthy sicarios and good talents will compensate for that...In fact if your sics are good, low levels of defenses will work amazingly.

*Health and Damage Boosts* Should be given appropriately. Building Damage and Building Health talents are most preferable. Rocket damage is equally important if you have high medal rating. Machine gun damage is more important. Piercing Canon H&D are important. Mortar Damage is more important. Flame health is important as it will be guarding other buildings like storages.

*Easy Energy for Troops* Dont give easy energy on their route to finca. This is very important while selecting a layout.

*Easy Energy for Firebombs* Dont put all buildings with lesser health close to each other...make it difficult for firebombs to gain energy.


*#Recharge times for Player Bases*

Machine Gun 0.1s
Flame 0.1s
Tower 1.4s
Canon 4s
Piercing Canon 4s
Rockets 4.5s
Mortar 5s
Nerve gas 5s


*#ADVANCED THINGS TO KNOW*

- When the recharge times are more than 1 second, the damage per shot is higher than the damage per sec

*Rockets* provide a safe zone near its location to the troops. If the zone is near the finca region, then the rocket will stop bursting when the troops reach finca. Hence it will be easier for the opponent to directly destroy the finca as he can skip the rocket.

*Nerve gas* doesn't cause much damage to troops. It's recharge time is 5 secs. And stunning time is 1-3 secs only. So after the troops are frozen, max damage should be done by the buildings adjacent to nerve. So when troops are frozen either a rocket should do the damage or machine guns should do it, since their recharge times are lowest. Canon and P Canon have longer recharge times, so they can't do more damage.

*Mortars* are a threat to flacos,rpgs. However they can be *clubbed together so that all their bombs land in the same zone causing more damage* than your opponent can expect. Then they will be a threat to gordos and feugos as well.

*Piercing Canon* is a major threat to feugos,gordos,torchers in that order. Doesn't do much damage on flacos,rpgs.

*Canon* is a threat to feugos, gordos,torchers as well. But their damage and range is lesser than Pier Canon. Both P Canon and Canon have the same recharge time.

*Machine guns,towers,flamethrowers* functionality depends upon their location. They need *damage boosters* to work well.


*#ADVANCED THINGS TO DO*

*Nerve gas location* is the most important. Rocket and machine gun locations should depend upon that.

*Rocket* should never be located on the front and adjacent sides of finca. However they can be located on the back side. As it will take time for the troops to reach there. It has to be destroyed first before destroying finca in that case.

*Machine guns* with damage boosts is a deadly combination. They can wipe out squads very quickly as their recharge times are lesser.

- Remember that Canon's, P Canon's take time to recharge.

- As you progress to higher levels, damage boosts on rockets are more important than health boosts. High health rockets are easier to handle rather than high damage rockets. If you're above level 45 with Finca 18, Health of a rocket should be such that it would require two missile hits/rocket. If it needs either a single hit or more than two hits, then it's not a tough base to handle. (Because the defenses will consist of only rocket healths and all other defenses will be weak. A flash on the rocket is all that's needed instead of missile hits)

- Make sure to upgrade the right sicarios. Consult others in the group before taking decisions.


*#Priorities for Defense Upgrades*

P1... Rocket and Nerve gas
P2... Piercing Canon
P3... Machine guns (with damage boosts) and Canons
P4... Towers
P5... Mortars and Flame

_For Strategy 1 (Basics post 2/5) followers, P1 is the most important_

_For Strategy 3 (Basics post 2/5) followers, Nothing is important_

*#Recharge times in Cartel Compound*

Machine Gun 0.1s
Flame 0.1s
Tower 1.6s
Canon 3s
Piercing Canon 4s
Rockets 4.5s
Mortar 5s
Nerve gas 5s


*#SUGGESTIONS*

- Unlike Attacks, there is no perfect layout or strategy in the case of defenses. But remember that you will gain xp and level up fast without getting strategic benefits in attacks. So people will be stuck without an advantage in attacks or in defense_

- There is no fun when you can't take revenge on a player who has attacked you. At the same time it will be irritating if a low level player attacks and destroys your base.


*Most Important* If your defenses can kill sicarios, *you can earn gold from the dead sicarios*. It will not matter whether you defended your base or not as long as you earn gold from attacks on your base.

*Maps-General information*


*Normal Enemy outposts*


- If you're rating is higher.. These outposts will be way higher than your player level

- *Rewards* Less than normal player bases. Better than special player bases and Special guirella enemy outposts

- can use *find other option.* Not 100% sure as we generally beat all outposts on map. But sometimes this didn't change after 24hrs when i tried to convert them to player bases (for Chest points in dummies)

- *Can* attack during shield

- *chest* no points

- *Rating change* - 1, +1


*Normal Player bases*


- Generally, you will get opponents who are +/- 3 levels of your own player level.

- *Rewards* good rewards among all the regular bases on your map.

- *scout the base first. And then use find other*. If it gets converted to an enemy outpost.. The rewards will be that of the player base.

- Opponent player *can take revenges*. Irrespective of your shield. Shield saves your 100% resources. Without shield it depends on Bunker % saved

- Can use *find other option* after 24 hours.

- *Can't attack* during shields.

- *chest* one point for a win.

- *Rating change* - 1+2=1 without revenge and -1+2-1=0 after revenge.

- *Note 1:* You can save those converted outposts till you attempt big training activities.

- *Note 2 :* If you have a player base of our cartel member... Give him gold. *Know about the trick*


*Resource Centers*


- Try to share them with others. *Know about this.*

- Refer truck resource calculations post.

- *can be captured* by opponents randomly

- Can use *find other option* after 72 hours.

- *Can't attack* during shield

- *chest* one point per win

- *Rating change* +1, - 1


*Special Player Bases*


- Gives contracts for sicarios and various skill sets.

- *Rewards* are lesser than both normal player bases and high level normal enemy outposts.

- opponent players *can't take revenge.*

- Can use *find other option* after 24 hours if you can't clear the base

- *Recharge times* if you cleared the base *2.5,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7 hours*..if you have unlocked all 9 special player bases... Time depends on the base location.

- *Can attack* during shields

- *Chest* One point for a win.

- *Rating change* +2 always.


*Special guirella skill outposts*


- Gives guirella attack skill materials

- *Rewards* are similar to normal enemy outposts.

- can't use *find other option*

- *Recharge times*

4,5,6,7 hours if you have all the four locations. Time depends upon the outpost location.

- *can attack* during shield

- *chest* no points.

- *Rating change* +1 always.


*War Map Day 1 - Enemy outposts*


- 5 normal enemy outposts, if you are there in war squad.

- *Rewards* are similar to normal enemy outposts.

- no recharge times. And Cant find other bases. - time limit to defeat these bases... 24 hours.

- *can attack* during shield

- *chest* no points.

- *Rating change* no impact


*War map Day 2 - Player bases*


- Can attempt 3 normal player bases. Only if youre there in war squad

- One free attack and two paid attacks.. You have to craft materials to attack for the second and third time.

- *Rewards* are not given instantly. Best rewards among all attacks if we win wars.

- no recharge times. And *Cant use find other bases*. - time limit to defeat these bases... 24 hours.

- *Chest* one point per base. Max 3 per war.

- *Rating change* no impact


*Informer event bases*


- Event comes twice a week. Mon/tue and Sat/Sun.. Depending upon your login duration in the week.

- *Phase 1*. Maximum time given varies. You *can collect informers only from* normal enemy outposts, normal player bases, resource centers and special player bases. *Timer resets automatically* after the collection of required no of informers.

- *Phase 2* a tough base will be unlocked. You *need not clear it in a single attempt* and can attack multiple times. Earlier Progress will be saved. Can be reset as well. Send rewards booster sicarios in your last attempt. Will get a time limit to capture this base. *Rewards will be instant* unlike war rewards.

- *Rewards* are higher than normal player bases and sometimes war rewards as well. Difficulty level depends upon your player level/finca level.

- can't use *find other option.*

- *Can* attack during shield

- *chest* no points

- *Rating change* No impact.

Just wanted to add to this. This is not based on your ratings but how much you clear the Normal Enemy Outposts. The more you clear, the higher level they will be and it cannot be reversed.

Is this FAQ from Boom Beach? I have close to 8000+ ratings and i still get matched with players that are 100+ ratings

Just wanted to add to this. This is not based on your ratings but how much you clear the Normal Enemy Outposts. The more you clear, the higher level they will be and it cannot be reversed.




Yes. Youre correct technically. Generally the guys with more ratings clear more no of outposts to get easy materials for big upgrades. So it implies that higher rating players have high level of outposts. But need not be correct everytime as even people with low ratings who avoid attacking players can have high level of enemy outposts as well.





Is this FAQ from Boom Beach? I have close to 8000+ ratings and i still get matched with players that are 100+ ratings


Yes i found it in the net. Dont know much about boombeachb except the fact that both are almost similar

But it worked for me. I generally get around 10-15 ratings dropped in the night. Happens to due to shared RCs and new outposts (i clear the map and recapture all rcs shared in the night) . Next day if i use find other option, it works..i get players who are relatively easy.

Would like to know more about this from other's

I think it's worth mentioning here to those planning on choosing damage Sicario about a key difference between Butcher and Sebastian (both have Damage Boost) but Sebastian boosts the mines in his proximity unlike Butcher.


*6. Keep Finca ahead*
This will make the players attack you. And you can take revenge in the weekend. Try this on Sunday's. When we Have to score max points.
- *However your rating can drop and this can impact your league ranking. So be careful*
Unless Shield is used, which would be very useful to save resources for major upgrades.

Yeah agree with this but it if you want a mix of both try Sapper. He's got a similar health to Butcher but also gives extra mine damage inside his circle. Only problem is he's only available through premium defense sicarios chest. Also worth mentioning that any sicarios with extra building damage talents also give boost to your mines & C4s inside their circles.

If FTX is reading this, I'd like to suggest introducing a new defense sicario who slows down enemy's attack speed as it could be an option to counter Torchers or Flacos. I have to say Aria was a total failure and Torchers are too overpowered.

Is there any benefit to upgrading your Heliport, after you have unlocked ALL weapons, smoke etc?
