As I understand it your chest level increases every 100 attacks and so on. We have done 143 attacks so far but only shows 43/100 and still on chest one. Should this not be chest 2 by now?

The chest that shows 1/10 means you have won it already. Now you are working on chest #2. Once you have done 57 more attacks, it will shows 2/10.

Simply, it started from 0, u need to achieve first one, then second, etc.
They won’t give u free chest, just like that.
