Game breaking bug - Sicario talent fusing stops the game

I just started and can no longer do anything in the game.

The tutorial wants me to fuse a Sicario into another one, but I don’t have enough cash on hand. When it asks me to buy the missing cash with gold I can’t press the buy button even though I have the gold.

You can’t back out of it either and are forced into the Sicario camp by the yellow arrow so you cannot play any of the game. Any advice?

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as just letting the game sit there for a few minutes with no luck.
