Any suggestions on how to get a decent opponent? At least to compete. Our cartel rating is 10000 (35+ members are level 30+ with warring. We've reduce that to 28). Still we've been getting ridiculous opponents. (Right now an opponent with 18000+ rating) Only the first war opponent after this new update was matched with us. The next two were similar to the opponents we've been getting before this update. Waste of time giving suggestions to these developers.

War matchmaking seems to be out of our hands these days. I've heard stories that level 50-60 cartels are matched with level 90+ cartels which is a consequence if you only opt in level 53+ players. We're currently in a 10 v 10 war against a cartel with a level 51 player as their lowest level player. The rest are between level 53-58. We have 4 players under level 50 opted in (48, 47, 46, 46). Can't tell you the outcome yet though as we've only started a couple of hours ago :D

Some suggestions to improve efficiency:
  • Make a war plan, scout each opponent on the first day and share your findings to everyone in your cartel.
  • Have someone or two in your cartel who can take down compounds in 2 hits (3 is the absolute maximum).
  • If your friends are struggling, tell them to focus on offense FIRST and don't level up if they're not ready. No matter how strong your defense is, there's always someone out there who can take it down.
  • Gather your best compound sicarios, get some extra damage talents. If you lack dice to get second chance skills, just put the protective fury skills as they don't require you to swap slot colors.
  • Remember that being a falcon should not be seen as a promotion.
  • With a little bit of work and time you'll get there.

We are absolutely killing it @Renan 1 failed attack from the first 20 attacks and even that was just the first compound run to take out their sics and @TonyCasto almoat got it down in that run.

We make a plan and coordinate all attacks. At least 90% participation in wars. When we don't boycott the wars.
  • Have someone or two in your cartel who can take down compounds in 2 hits (3 is the absolute maximum).
We are about to reach this stage. We are getting compounds up to level 47. (2 rockets, 1 nerve). And can clear it in 3 (4 attacks max).
  • If your friends are struggling, tell them to focus on offense FIRST and don't level up if they're not ready. No matter how strong your defense is, there's always someone out there who can take it down.
This one is tough. As it takes time and coordination from 35+ players in the cartel. But we made detailed strategies on how to play this game, with performance evaluations at level 27,37,47 zones. I can share them here if anyone needs it.

Thanks for the skill idea. Will follow up on this. We have 13 velasco/edge in almost equal numbers. And we have tried with three maeves as well after the recent raid event. It's working big time now, as the no of compound attacks on our base have increased to at least 2 attacks. People often ignore maeves. They cover half the base consisting of storages, attacks. Don't know if any other cartel tried this.

Yup. This is made clear. We have one capo + 2 right hands in permanent positions. And give chance to all other members in 3 lieutenant positions for 7-10 days irrespective of their levels. (Depends on their chest contributions, donations and war attacks success rates)

We had the worst war match making in the last 7/10 wars. This was the time where we improved our offenses with a lot of people crossing 40+ and chest performance improved from chest 6 to chest 8.

We know that reducing the no of war players and going with the strongest players can work. Almost all the top 7 cartels in our region do it (We are 4th in India). But we are against that idea, due to this

- People join a top cartel to get good rewards from wars, benefits in compound and chest rewards. When we don't give a chance to them in the wars, they will slowly loose interest and reduce donations, chest contributions. To such people, the cartels war success rates don't matter. So we want to give everyone a chance. Min 25 max 30 out of our active 40 players. We used to go with 30-35 couple of weeks back.

- lot of top cartels are slowly fading out in our region. As the cartel performance was solely dependent on those few warring player

*SUGGESTIONS*


*#Levelling up*


- Follow priorities carefully

- Take suggestions before upgrading sicarios. Wait for the best helipad ability booster sicarios. If you have doubts about sicarios ask in the group

- Use XP from TC upgrades for levelling up
- Level up slowly only after reaching max attack buildings (except squads)
- Have sufficient storages in your base. *Use cartel port to avoid xp gains from storage buildings*
- Unlock all possible areas on the map
- Unlock 5 + 2 special bases.
- Prefer Big bang skill raids.


*#Defenses*


- Have lowest priority on defenses _(do it only when you can't get xp from attack buildings and TC upgrades)_

- Use sicario boosts and talents to handle buildings. (Building health and damage Preferred)

*Note:* _You will attract a lot of revenge attacks as your base is weak. So defense sicarios with building health/damages are very important for strategy 3 to work well. Don't upgrade any other sicarios_


*#War and Chest*


- It will be very difficult to get 9 successful attacks and 3 cartel war victories in a week, as I completely depends on war opponents.

- Rewards from chest will be far greater than what you get from the above mentioned war performance

- So if you're below 34, Focus on chests - *Get sicarios and gold as well from chest 9,10,11*

Update to this thread, we have reduced the no of warring players to 23-25. It's working fine as of now as we are atleast able to give a tough fight to the opponents in the last 4/5 wars. One war opponent was an exception case as that cartel has restarted their progress and we couldn't find a flaw in war matchmaking.

So war mismatch will be at peak levels if we go with 30-37 members (though they're ready to give full participation and above level 35). 25 looks ideal as of now! Can't go with lower numbers due to reasons mentioned above.
