Agree with @Goose and @H2O compleTely. This game is abOut OffEnse. The point of defense is to try and kill the attacking sics to get gold.. or to make SUre you have a number of revenges to get further in the leader boarD. If you sPend money to boost your attack that is great and sensIble. In my opiNion Spending money on deFense sics is a waste. Your compound will never bE 100% defendable fOr all strategies.

Dont change anything about this aspect of the game. Ppl spent good money to blow up without deploying. Now u force them to stop on their own. If u dont deploy, the revenge aspect comes with an automatic 50% squad boost the whole battle and if u win its double the reward. People will start to think differently.
