When I search for the Android and IOS ratings for this game, I get the following:
Android (teen rating): Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.
IOS (12+ rating): Applications in this category may also contain infrequent mild language, frequent or intense cartoon, fantasy or realistic violence, and mild or infrequent mature or suggestive themes, and simulated gambling which may not be suitable for children under the age of 12.
I fail to see where the issue lies. It is laid out pretty clearly, isn't it?
If the issue is actually the fact that these ratings shouldn't include simulated gambling, you may want to submit a complaint to Google and Apple.
It should be noted that I'm Canadian, so I may not be seeing exactly what you are seeing.
I was tired of watching this thread go around in circles You raise a valid point about gambling being illegal for people under 18. This may be the difference between real $$ gambling and whatever they define 'simulated gambling' to be. Apparently 'simulated gambling' is okay for teenagers, according to these ratings.Dut
Thx
The first person with a normal answer.
And who knows what he is talking about.
I didt check the ratings from the game yet.
But in my country gambling is illegal for people under the 18
Its just a matter of time then before simulated gambling will be illegal too for 13year olds thenI just did a Google search for simulated gambling and there are some interesting articles on the subject and how teenagers who are allowed to simulate gambling are more likely to become real $$ gamblers later in life.
Okay, after this, how can I not assume that u are an FTX shill. In substance I agree with you. FTX has never tried to hide that it is a business, therefore aiming at maximizing profits. But from a strict lexical point of view I think it should be called virtual or simulated gambling, as it is not exactly the same as direct, real-money gambling. Holding coins and bank notes in one's hand is an altogether distinct action. Replacing real money by fake money or tokens is something clever that casinos have done long ago before mobile devices games came in.
Read before your writeOmg! I cannot believe this thread! How can this be gambling? What money can you win or real material stuff? The game has a warning that there are ingame purchases. Isn't it a gambling that you buy expensive coffee and when you are in a rush for work in the morning and you have no time for WC... that you will ruin your day? You might lose even material stuff by missing an opportunity hence the urge. Come on!
How much gold/sicarios do you get too give only possitive postings about the game?I am not, but feel free to think whatever suits you.
But it is still gambling and the topic is about gambling being allowed for pg13 thats what the topic is about. It is virtual gambling, as lobsterboy clearly explained.
Whether or not it is moral to allow 13y old kids to play this game is a different topic, but playing the talent roulette isn't the same as inserting real money into a slot machine.
Hi Chase,Commenting here to acknowledge the thread - but no specific response is warranted except to say we are offering these gameplay mechanics the correct way.
